My friend E_B_A came in to the office today to catch me up on his life and hit me up with new mp3’s to fill up my itunes.. while visiting his website he hipped me to a crazy link of a waitress who would draw her customers head shots on the back of thier ticket orders.. and a small slogan of what they had a conversation about. I found this quite interesting and thought I’d share..maybe you’ll get a kick out of it like I did. Interesting idea for a blog.

Ever since the first sign of day light savings sprung forward, I’ve been itchin to skate a little.. finding the time to do so is about as easy as updating this website. I find it hard to squeeze an extra hour into it. I’ve come to the conclusion that this is just the Skate God’s way of getting back at me for the few years I had an opportunity to go out and ride..but didn’t. I wanted to just hop on the board and cruise around an abandoned shopping mall… but since the move to Southside.. it’s been far and few between with spots to stop at. One day this week I will make it a point.mission to step on my bard and get the damn thing rollin! Oh, wait the board to the right is actually my wife’s board.. It’s just ..I have a stronger attraction to her photo’s than mine!
March 27th the wetness
March 27th, 2009it’s raining and still I see nothing but blue skies! maybe because its all about perception? Who knows? I do understand that sometimes it takes a while to see the light at the end of the tunnel and I was never one to philosophy on anything I didn’t understand. I wish there was a skate shop in this small town.. I also wish there was a public skate park like there is 30 miles up the road.. mainly because the one we have here needs repairs.. I also wish the ASA would have taken off last year.. but then you know what? its all about what you make of your scene… I happen to enjoy just cruising around an old K-Mart lot. So go out there.. rain or shine and find something worth grinding…something worth fighting for!

Entering a Wal-mart thru the garden center (being that it’s the best and most direct route to get in and out of the mega store…It was raining and I glanced down to notice a grocery list pasted to the concrete due to the rain. A lot of metaphors and examples came to mind but I ended up snapping a picture of it.. I found it interesting, some one’s random list of important items.. I looked over the list but didn’t pick it up..just glanced at it, noticed “Clippers” was the 2nd item on the list and, that right there, let me know it was a wal-mart shopping list. You can find all sorts of things in Wal-mart…from hair products to groceries. Anything you think you might need after midnight is accessible in this place. I’m thankful of lists, and the freedom to shop after midnight. In Germany, a lot of the main stores shut down around 7pm each night and you’ll be lucky to find one open on a Sunday. There were a handful of Wal-marts over there when I visited but they were known as “SAMMIES” I’m assuming for Sam Walton (founder). I took pix of “Real American Hot Dogs” that were enclosed in a mason jar with an American flag embedded in the logo. The ironic thing is, we have a German store here in Georgia that sells “Real German Bratwursts” in a jar with the German flag embedded in the log.The funny part of it is…I bought both, in separate continents. I’m crazy. But then again, back to the list…if you zoom in you can read “Meat• Steak [scribble] steak & pork” I’m guessing it was chicken that was crossed out. The point is..the list was lost or forgotten, but reading it reminded me that I needed cheese and I forgot that Wal-mart also had bagels…so..thanks to someone elses list…I was able to complete mine…this had nothing to do with the fact it rained and I was thinking about all the bummed out skaters that day.
For Thought

The test of the newbie is upon us..TMS gave my blog a facelift… and I’m testing it..seeing what I can do to make the blog easier to manage and upload pix…so far it seems easier than cooking a Briskett. Actually, a little bit about that, you can go to your local grocery store and pick up a chunk of meat with seasonings already included for almost $3 a pound.. they range from 4 to 7 lbs and you’re better off getting one under $12. This is enough to feed a family of 4 with just enough room for sides. We decided on pea’s and squash on this night. The colors can make any novice cook look like he took some culinary classes. Squash is simple to make and it depends on your seasoning.. I’d throw in a pinch of garlic salt and margerine. Werkable has now become a spin off of a Rachal Ray show! yeah! Seriously, when you bring your peas to a boil..make sure you lather the top with butter, add some salt/pepper and don’t over cook them… you want them to have a snap texture not a soggy one! The Briskett… Place the chunk in the middle of a large piece of aluminum foil..get a palmful of brown sugar and rub that package down from bottom to top use the seasoning pack that came with it after the rubdown.. and add a bit of season salt..garlic powder and then close up the meat inside the foil, place on a cooking pan…..bake it at 425 for almost 3 hours and you’re ready for dinner! YES! (so start early.)
