The Werkable Blog

I took the time to update a few sections on the site, I got pix and fixed the Sk8 page. It’s been a great time for Werkable. Not too much to report, only that I keep neglecting the music section of the site. The skating basically writes itself! Not too much going on musically I guess.. There are a few things I will need to add, such as my friend Fuzz Jaxx’s page.. He’s been doing this music thing for quite some time, and he has a website in the making, but advertising himself on other places is always a positive. That’s what it’s all about. HE recently did a show here at Sky City in Augusta, great turnout and very professional. That’s what makes him stand out among the sea of MCees that clutter the scene. Looking forward to that.

Uncool Dave.. really.. I already screwed up 2 resolutions in under a month! Smoking and blogging.. one I needed to do more of and one I needed to do less of… both have been very upsetting.! I know I can get busy but it’s not an excuse! I’ve been doing a lot of thinking in the last 18 days.. that’s how long it’s been since my last entry. I am gonna stop beating myself up about it! Skateboarding in this town has been squeezed into a backyard ramp and a few kids walking down the main road looking for things to grind. I’m not giving up on it. I know there are plenty of people still out there in Augusta wanting the scene to pick up, but it’s what you make it, and it starts with YOU and your crew. The culture has drastically changed, but then again so has everything else around us so.. you can either choose to adapt or you can just bitch about it all day long. Over the weekend I witnessed some great BBQ, Skating and friends getting together for a celebration! It’s what I chose to do.. and by doing just that, I became more positive with everything rather than talking bad about it all… It’s not a horoscope, just my opinion. Keep doing what you love and loving what you know. All the stuff that comes along with it, is just filler.

I resolve to write in the Blog section as much as possible without a lot of days passing. I promise to try my best to keep up with local skateboarding and the culture it became. I hope to accomplish a goal or 2 in this new year that will help me progress in this life I live. How about you?
